Marcos has over 28 years of experience in the chemical industry with Birla Carbon and The Dow Chemical Company. He is experienced in both chemical manufacturing as well as in research and development. Today, at Birla Carbon, he leads the Process Innovation team: a global team of researchers tasked to drive development of a diverse technology portfolio, which includes sustainability (circularity, carbon footprint reduction) driven projects, new technology development, and technology targeted at improving Birla Carbon’s existing asset base. His manufacturing background includes experience in production engineering, improvement engineering, process automation, capital project management, and raw material/product coordination.
Marcos holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Houston.
