Maressa Brennan is a member of the Portfolio Strategy team at the Dept of Energy’s Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations. There she is the lead author of the Chemicals & Refining Pathway to Commercial Liftoff report, a member of the team designing the Regional Clean Hydrogen Hub Demand-side Initiative and coordinates financial ecosystem engagement for OCED. Prior to joining DOE, Maressa was on a Director of Innovative Finance at the Milken Institute, where she contributed to the research, development, execution, and follow-up of the Institute’s Financial Innovations Labs, which address market failures and funding gaps within social or environmental issues. She also led the Institute’s environmental sustainability content and programming. Before joining the Milken Institute, Brennan worked at Mark Asset Management, a boutique hedge fund in New York, and Russell Investments on the hedge fund research team. Maressa holds as M.S. in sustainability management from Columbia University and a B.A. from George Washington University.
