Martin Hollender is a researcher in the operations management group at ABB Corporate Research in Germany (martin.hollender@de.abb.com). He is the editor of the book Collaborative Process Automation Systems published by ISA and is a member of the IEC working group that published the IEC 62682 alarm management standard. He has an MS in automatic control from the Univ. of Darmstadt and a PhD in man-machine systems from the Univ. of Kassel.
