Matt Loeb’s experience spans 30 years in the technology, publishing, education and nonprofit sectors. As Acting CEO of SECURE, he is working with AIChE on increasing awareness, educating and addressing risks of cybersecurity in the chemical process industries. Matt previously served as CEO of ISACA, a business technology organization that champions technology governance, risk, audit, and information and cyber security. During his 4+ years, he led a transformation resulting in membership growth from 115,000-165,000, the development and deployment of the first hands-on, performance-based training and credential system for cyber pros, and the launch of industry’s first enterprise-wide assessment platform to measure a company’s resilience to cyber attacks, for which he also holds a patent. Prior to ISACA, Matt spent 20 years as Staff Executive of the IEEE and Executive Director of the IEEE Foundation. Matt also serves on or as an advisor to a number of public and nonprofit boards. He is certified in the governance of enterprise information and technology, He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a member of AIChE, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, ISACA, and the National Association of Corporate Directors. Matt is an NACD Board Leadership Fellow and a Fellow of the MIT Center for Information Systems Research.
