Melissa (Mel) Butcher is a Regional Lead in Carollo Engineers’ Private Sector Group and is currently based out of Madison, Wisconsin. Mel has a varied background that includes experience with Federal Emergency Management and Engineering Consulting. In previous consulting roles, Mel has focused on water/wastewater treatment, financial management & project ROI, risk, and sustainability for industrial (private sector) clients. She holds a BS and MS in Civil Engineering and a BA in Language.
Mel Butcher is actively involved in WEF and ASCE. She completed WEF's Water Leadership Institute in 2017. Mel is a co-host of A Career that Soars! (ACtS!) and produces the Lead to Soar podcast. Mel is also an advisor for Step Up: Equity Matters, a boutique Equity and Inclusion firm that helps companies achieve and sustain workplace equity goals.
