Michael D. Olken, PhD, retired after 28 years as a Research Scientist from The Dow Chemical Company in 2014 where he worked in Core R&D and Dow Energy Materials. His research interests include zeolites, catalytic hydrogenation, and catalyst scale-up, as well as the development of battery materials. He is an author or coauthor of more than 20 external papers and presentations, as well as more than 100 internal reports. He is also an inventor on five patents and two patent applications. He holds a BA in chemistry from the Univ. of Vermont and a PhD in chemistry from the Univ. of Wisconsin.
