Dr. Mingfei Zhao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Alabama, joining in August 2024. She earned her bachelor's and master’s degrees from Shandong University and her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Binghamton. She completed postdoctoral training at the University of Chicago and Los Alamos National Laboratory. Dr. Zhao's research focuses on multiscale computational modeling to advance the design of bioinspired functional nanomaterials.
