Monica Wilson received her BSChE from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and her MSChE at Marshall University in Charleston, WV. She started her career at Union Carbide in Charleston, WV during the mid 80's in R&D then transferred to Charleston Operations.
She moved to the former ICI Paints in Strongsville, OH which is now AkzoNobel in the late 80s and it's where she's been ever since. Monica spent over 30 years in process engineering, recently retiring from AkzoNobel where she concluded her career as a Sr. Global Process Technology Manager.
She has had the pleasure of working in R&D, Supply Chain and Marketing and she's enjoyed her lengthy career.
Monica recently joined the Parma (Ohio) City Council Ward 1 having made history, as the first African American member. Politics is her purpose and she is looking forward to this next chapter.
