Mukund Parthasarathy is the R&D Vice President for Packaging & Specialty Plastics and Hydrocarbons at Dow.
Most recently, he was the Global R&D Director for Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics; including Technical Service and Development and End Use Marketing. Prior to joining P&SP, Mukund was the Global TS&D Director for Dow Performance Silicones from June 2016 – June 2018 and served as Vice President for Global Application Engineering & Technical Services at Dow Corning Corporation from Feb. 2015 – June 2016.
Mukund joined Dow Corning in 2009 as Science &Technology (S&T) Director for the Innovation Accelerator. He became the S&T Director for the Solar and Wind Business in 2011 before being named to lead the Business & Technology Incubator in 2012. He was named Director of Global Research in Dec 2013. Prior to joining Dow Corning he worked for General Electric in the Plastics and Superabrasives business in various technical leadership roles.
Mukund holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (India), a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
