Nima is a consultant on advanced manufacturing and modeling and simulation in Bio/pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. His area of expertise covers mathematical modeling, process simulation, particulate matters, process design, and advanced manufacturing.
With more than 20 years of diverse experience in different industries, he has worked at R&D, process design, regulatory, and MSAT sections. At Procegence, he supports the bio/pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries on process/product development, scale-up, tech-transfer, and optimization. His key goals are to apply advanced manufacturing technologies and utilize modeling and simulation tools to reduce cost, improve quality, sustainability, and develop products and processes faster, better, and cheaper.
Prior to starting his consultancy firm (Procegence = Process Intelligence), Nima was a research scientist with US Food and Drug Administration. He was appointed as a member of an expert team for advancement of emerging technologies to modernize pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Nima was a postdoctoral research associate at MIT, Department of Chemical Engineering. He received his PhD from The University of Sydney, Australia. Nima has received multiple national and international awards. He has published numerous journal papers and book chapters, holds two patent applications, and serves on several review panels and advisory committees.
