Professor
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
Dr. Pawan Takhar is a professor of food and bioprocess engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He solves problems related to polymer mechanics coupled with the movement of heat, fluids, and species in porous biopolymers to improve the material quality during processing. He develops and solves multiscale mathematical models using the hybrid mixture theoretic approach. Prof. Takhar also teaches courses related to food processing and mathematical modeling to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Illinois.
