Robert M. Baldwin, PhD, is a principal scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he co-leads industrial engagement for the BOTTLE Consortium (Email: robert.baldwin@nrel.gov). He also directs program and business development activities for the Bioenergy Science and Technology Directorate. Prior to NREL, Baldwin was a professor of chemical engineering at the Colorado School of Mines and a founder of the Petroleum Institute in Abu Dhabi. He has a PhD in chemical engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
