Roozbeh Ghaffari is co-founder and CEO of Epicore Biosystems. Prior to co-founding Epicore Biosystems, he was co-founder and CTO of MC10, where he led R&D of advanced wearable health management solutions for movement and neurological disorders. Dr. Ghaffari’s contributions at intersection of soft bioelectronics, microfluidics, and neuroscience have been recognized with awards from the Crain’s Business Journal, IEEE, and MIT Technology Review’s TR35. He has published over 90 academic papers and is inventor on over 30 patents. Dr. Ghaffari joined the Querrey Simpson Institute for Bioelectronics at Northwestern University in 2017, where he is currently the director of translational research and research associate professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Ghaffari holds B.S. and M.Eng degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT, and received his Ph.D in biomedical engineering from the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
