S. Emre Demirel is a PhD candidate in the Artie McFerrin Dept. of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M Univ. He obtained his BSc and MSc degrees, both in chemical engineering, from Bogazici Univ., Turkey. In 2015, he joined Hasan’s group at Texas A&M Univ., where his PhD research focuses on developing a generic optimization-based method to automatically identify and generate intensified chemical process flowsheets.
