Shailesh Dangwal

Shailesh Dangwal, PhD, is a postdoctoral research associate in the Chemical Science Division at Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL), where he is working on the recovery of critical elements and rare earth elements from scrap e-waste. His research interests are in the field of catalytic membrane reactors, gas separation, water purification, and CO₂ capture. Dangwal obtained his BTech in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2012. Later, he obtained his master’s and PhD degrees from Oklahoma State Univ. in catalytic membrane reactors and gas separations in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Dangwal has presented his work at many internationally known conferences and is an author of 14 publications.
