Sharon is a chemist turned patent attorney. She is currently Senior Counsel in the Vaccines Patents group at Sanofi and has more than 15 years’ experience in intellectual property and other legal matters. Sharon has worked in the biotech industry, in private legal practice, and as a research scientist in the US and in Switzerland. She earned an A.B. in Chemistry from Bowdoin College, a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from The University of California, San Francisco, and a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.
Sharon was born and raised in the South End neighborhood of Boston. She is committed to championing girls and women from underrepresented communities to be included in the STEM professions.
