Shirley Xu is a graduate student at Rensselaer Polytechnic University. She was born and raised in Seattle, WA. Xu obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering at Columbia University, where she focused on using bacteria to enhance the corrosion of metals. She joined the Dordick Lab in Fall 2019 to pursue her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.
