Shiv Rekhi is a fourth year PhD student at the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University working in the lab of Professor Jeetain Mittal. His work involves the use of computer simulations to uncover the thermodynamic driving forces underlying the sequence-dependent phase separation of intrinsically disordered proteins. Prior to joining the Mittal group at Texas A&M, he completed a masters program in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
