Siddhartha Roy is a PhD student and Graduate Researcher in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. He works with Dr. Marc Edwards researching failure mechanisms in potable water infrastructure, including erosion corrosion in copper-based premise plumbing and, more recently, the citywide lead contamination and other corrosion-caused water quality issues in Flint, MI now termed the “Flint Water Crisis.” Sid holds an MS in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Nirma University.
