Síle Brennan joined the Hydrogen Safety Engineering and Research Centre (HySAFER) at Ulster in 2007. In this time, she has contributed to a range of collaborative projects in hydrogen safety, both in R&D and in education and training. She is currently coordinating the FCH JU HyResponder project (https://hyresponder.eu/) a European train the trainer programme for responders in Hydrogen Safety. She has previously participated in the European project HyIndoor involving pre-normative research on the indoor use of hydrogen and fuel cell systems, and the European H2FC infrastructure project where she coordinated the European technical school on hydrogen and fuel cells. Her research interests are in CFD modelling of hydrogen releases and fires.
