Sohail Murad, PhD, is a professor and department chair at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Previously, he was the head of the chemical engineering department at the Univ. of Illinois–Chicago. He studies alternative energy and its efficient utilization, computational molecular modeling of fluids on membrane surfaces and pores, and heat and mass flow in nanosystems. Murad is the author of over 150 archival research publications and book chapters. He has served on the editorial advisory board of Computer Applications in Engineering Education, Scientific Journals International, and Research Letters in Chemical Engineering. Murad is a Fellow of AIChE and has a PhD in chemical engineering from Cornell Univ.
