Soham Dutta, PhD, is an associate research scientist in Core Research and Development, The Dow Chemical Co. (Midland, MI; Phone: 989-638-0089; Email: sdutta2@dow.com). He has a combined industrial experience of more than five years and has been part of Dow since July 2018. His current role at Dow involves applying principles of calorimetry and chemical engineering to support multiple Dow businesses in process and reactor design/operation, kinetic and thermokinetic modeling, reactive chemical hazards, and defining safe operating/handling envelopes. He has authored six peer-reviewed publications and presented at several notable conferences. He participates in local American Chemical Society (ACS) and AIChE chapter activities. He received a BE in chemical engineering from Siddaganga Institute of Technology and an MS and PhD in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon Univ.
