Sujata K. Bhatia, MD, PhD, P.E., is a physician, bioengineer, and professional chemical engineer. She is a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the Drexel Univ. College of Medicine, where she additionally serves as Director of Biomedicine Graduate Programs. She is also an affiliated faculty member in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems at Drexel Univ. She is a lecturer for Harvard Univ.’s Extension School, Johns Hopkins Univ.’s Advanced Academic Programs, Univ. of Delaware’s Horn Entrepreneurship, and Rowan Univ.’s Experiential Engineering Education. Bhatia teaches courses on biomedical product development, biochemical engineering, vaccinology, and cellular engineering. She works with students on projects for medical innovation, entrepreneurship, and improved health outcomes.
