Tekin is the Senior Product Line Manager responsible for Asset Optimization software and workflows as part of Weatherford's Production Optimization Business Unit. He also manages ReO (Surface Network Optimization) and PVTflex (Fluid Characterization and Tuning) software products as a Product Owner. Prior to joining Weatherford in 2012, he was the team lead responsible for Analytics & Optimization projects in Chevron. He spent more than 10 years in software development at Aspen Technology focusing on refinery production planning. Tekin has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Maryland at College Park. He holds a US patent and is a member of SPE and AICHE. He is also the Programming Chair for Upstream Engineering and Flow Assurance (UEFA) Forum.
