Terrence currently leads the Gene Therapy Drug Substance Process Development at Biogen. His group has supported the development of end-to-end production technologies to improve productivity and yield while maintaining target product quality for multiple AAV gene therapy programs. Before joining the Gene Therapy Department, he contributed to initiatives for Biogen Biologics programs including early phase development, mid-phase optimization and late-phase process characterization. Terrence earned B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2010 where he focused on characterizing lentiviral adhesion kinetics.
