Terry Marker is the Principal Investigator for the SoftOx and Cool GTL projects and is currently employed by the Gas Technology Institute. Terry has 43 years of experience in the petroleum and petrochemical industry with 19 years experience with UOP, 10 years experience with Amoco, 5 years experience with Arco and 8 years of experience with GTI. Terry has worked as the team leader to develop a number of commercial processes including the Ecofining Process which converts oils and greases into diesel and jet fuel, the IH2® process which converts biomass into gasoline and diesel, the Oxypro process which converts propylene and water into diisopropyl ether, and the MTO process which converts methanol into olefins. Terry has 68 US patents and numerous technical publications and has years of experience in petroleum refining, hydroconversion, hydrocracking, pyrolysis, FCC, synfuel production, hydropyrolysis, process design and economics. Terry has an MS in Chemical Engineering from IIT and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois.
