After completing his BS in Geography and Planning, Tom started his career as an IT Consultant in 1995 working with various multinational corporations. In 1997 joined ExxonMobil Upstream Research as an applications developer. Tom has served in various IT architecture and strategy roles across all aspects of the ExxonMobil integrated businesses. In 2017, Tom joined ExxonMobil Canada East in St. John’s NL focused on Upstream Operations Digital Transition where he experienced firsthand the lack of data standards and its negative impacts to digitization. In 2020 Tom began his current role focused on data centricity and driving data standards into the enterprise.
Living in Houston for 50 years, Tom is married with 2 sons and a daughter. Outside work Tom enjoys following sports, working on cars, and supporting his children in their sports, music and education.
