He is a member of several ASTM and NFPA committees responsible for standards related to assessing combustible dust and preventing and mitigating combustible dust fires and explosions. Dr. Myers has investigated catastrophic dust explosions that have occurred throughout the world.
He has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of California and is a licensed engineer in multiple states.
