Tony Rogers has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering and has been doing wind-energy related research since 1988. He worked at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Wind Energy Center for a number of years, leading research projects, providing wind-energy-related services to the state and teaching grad students. He is the co-author of Wind Energy Explained, Theory, Design and Application, a graduate-level engineering text book. He also worked for a number of years for a global wind energy consulting company. He recently retired and is a climate activist in Massachusetts.
