Troy Vargason is a PhD candidate in the Dept. of Biomedical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Email: vargat@rpi.edu). He received his BS in bioengineering from the State Univ. of New York at Binghamton in 2015. His graduate research in Juergen Hahn’s group began in 2015 and focuses on using systems biology and big data analysis techniques to study environmental and metabolic factors that contribute to the pathophysiology of autism spectrum disorder.
