Warren Ewert

Warren Ewert is a chemical engineer with over 35 years of experience in petroleum and petrochemical research and development.  During his career with Phillips Petroleum Company, ConocoPhillips, and Phillips 66, all at the Bartlesville, Oklahoma Research Center, he worked on process development projects in the areas of light olefins reforming, oil shale retorting, solid catalyst manufacturing, insect pheromone synthesis, Ryton® polyphenylene sulfide polymer, Canadian oil sands and shale crude processing and transportation, and commercialization of the STAR® Steam Active Reforming, S-ZorbTM Sulfur Removal Technology and Chevron Phillips Chemical’s award-winning selective ethylene-to-hexene-1 processes.  Prior to his retirement in 2015, he served as Senior Fellow to the R&D organization for three years.  Warren and his wife, Joleen, have been married for 43 years, have four adult daughters, and six grandchildren.  He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemical engineering from Kansas State University, an M.S. in chemistry from Oklahoma State University, and is a retired Professional Engineer in the state of Oklahoma.
