Chief Pryor has worked in the fire service since 1987 working for three departments in the Los Angeles area. Currently Chief Pryor works at Battalion 13 in Huntington Park, always seeking new experiences in Los Angeles County’s busiest battalion. Chief Pryor previously served as the Hazardous Materials/Homeland Security section overseeing the department wide policies, training and response to special hazards across the County.
Prior to his promotion to Battalion Chief, Pryor served as Task Force Captain on hazardous materials squads in Dominguez and City of Industry. In addition to response duties as a Hazardous Materials Specialist, Pryor is a California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI) instructor for various hazardous materials program topics. In addition to hazmat duties, Chief Pryor is a subject matter expert in investigation of serious incidents on incident responses.
