Bill is an experienced chemical engineer with MBA who has focused on technology development throughout his career. During his 30+ years at CH2M, an international engineering, design & construction company, he was elected as a Vice President and Technology Fellow where his responsibilities included identifying and developing new technologies for the benefit of CH2M’s clients. Prior to his career at CH2M, he worked as a research engineer for an industrial research organization and as a process engineer for Fluor.
Bill experienced a spinal cord injury in a fall from a ladder in 2004 and walks with crutches as a result of the injury. While he feels fortunate to be ambulatory, he has gained from his experience an understanding of the challenges that people with disabilities encounter in the course of every-day life.
Bill is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and served as President of the Institute in 2004. He is a licensed professional engineer in Oregon in both Chemical and Environmental Engineering and is a Board Certified Environmental Engineer as administered by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists. He was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society for business, and was inducted into Oregon State University’s Academy of Distinguished Engineers in 1998, the Academy’s inaugural year. He is an experienced Angel investor and is advising several of the companies in which he is invested.
