Yanqiu Lu is currently a Ph.D. candidate at National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, under the guidance of Dr. Sui Zhang. Before moving to NUS, she received her Bachelor degree from Wuhan University of Technology in 2014 and her Master degree in 2018 from Xiamen University. During PhD studies, her research goals are to develop emerging materials for membrane-based separations in challenging conditions. Materials of interest include nanoporous monolayer graphene, conjugated microporous polymers (CMPs) etc. Her work on “Monolayer graphene membranes for molecular separation in high-temperature harsh organic solvents” was published on PNAS, demonstrating the promise of the monolayer graphene membrane for organic solvent nanofiltration at high temperature and highlighting its contributions to making pharmaceutical manufacture more sustainable through efficient membrane separation.
