Yu Tian is a current postdoctoral scholar in Prof. Matthew Tirrell’s group (Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering) jointly with Prof. James LaBelle’s group (Biomedical Sciences) at the University of Chicago. He received his bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science and Engineering and master’s degree in Materials Science from Donghua University in 2011 and 2014. He later attained his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering under the supervision of Prof. Darrin Pochan and Prof. Kristi Kiick at the University of Delaware in 2018. During his Ph.D. training, he has developed strong research interest in the design and synthesis of peptide-based nanomaterials, as well as the advanced scattering and microscopy characterization techniques for nanomaterials. He received Materials Research Society Graduate Student Silver Award in 2017. In the end of 2018, he joined the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering at the University of Chicago as postdoctoral scholar. His current research focus is on the cancer translational research involving the development and delivery of protein-protein interaction inhibitors for the treatment of diffuse large B cell lymphoma.
