Zach is a Research Associate at the World Resources Institute on their U.S. Industrial Innovation and Carbon Removal Team. He provides policy and technology analysis for issues regarding industrial decarbonization, focusing primarily on chemicals, hydrogen, and refining. He has written and communicated extensively on issues such as non-fossil feedstocks for chemical production, CCUS, clean hydrogen, direct air capture, and all relevant federal U.S. policies concerning them. Previously, he worked at the Center on Global Energy Policy, Congressional Budget Office, and the Obama Administration White House. He holds a Master's from Columbia University and a Bachelor's from Goucher College.
