Zheyu Jiang

Zheyu Jiang recently graduated from the PhD program in chemical engineering at Purdue University in September 2018 and joined Corteva Agriscience, the Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, as a senior chemical engineer. During his graduate study at Purdue from 2014 to 2018, Zheyu was working with Prof. Rakesh Agrawal and Prof. Mohit Tawarmalani on the design and global optimization of novel, energy efficient, and cost-effective multicomponent distillation systems. In particular, he has developed a simple, easy-to-use shortcut based algorithmic method to determine the minimum reflux condition for general multi-feed, multi-product distillation columns separating any ideal multicomponent mixture. Zheyu graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2014 with a BChE with distinction. His undergraduate research with Prof. Michael Tsapatsis focused on synthesis and purification of sub-100 nm thin film of exfoliated MFI zeolite nanosheets for high-performance membrane applications. Zheyu had internship experiences at the Dow Chemical Company (2016), and Honeywell UOP (2013).
