LatinX in ChE

Organization - Mission and Vision

LatinX in ChE is a virtual forum through which the global community of Latin American Chemical Engineers can share and discuss their work or research advances, industry endeavors, and promote professional and personal development among members. We strive to build strong bonds among LatinX students (graduates and undergraduates), professors, and chemical engineering professionals in the USA, Latin America, and around the Globe. This group will allow us to support each other at different career stages as well as share advice and opportunities in Chemical Engineering.

We will achieve these goals by planning virtual gatherings, workshops, and in-person meetings at national conferences to facilitate peer networking through scholarship and friendship. Slack serves as the main platform to communicate with and among members. Email and other social media platforms, such as Twitter and LinkedIn will be used to promote events and celebrate members’ accomplishments. Through our relationship with the MAC-AIChE, we will continue to increase the representation of LatinX at all career levels and promote collaboration and interaction with other affinity groups.
