4. Ad hoc Meeting Program and General Arrangements Committees

4.1 Description.  Each Annual and Spring Meeting of AIChE is organized by a Meeting Program Committee and General Arrangements Chair.  The Meeting Program Committee is responsible for the technical program, and the General Arrangements Chair is respon-sible for local support functions, including recruitment of session aides, and non-technical program events.  The chairs of these committees—the Meeting Program Chair or MPC and General Arrangements Chair or GAC—are appointed by the EBPC and are members of the PC until after their meetings are held.

4.2 Appointment of members.  The MPC and GAC may appoint any number of people to their respective committees, including co-chairs, based on what is judged effective for their own meeting and their own preferences.
