Whether you’re just beginning your career or need to add or burnish a skill at a later point, AIChE Academy can help. From process safety to fundamentals, biomanufacturing to solids handling, AIChE Academy offers courses, presentations, and videos to help you learn.

The materials offered through AIChE Academy have been developed and vetted by leading experts in the technical subject areas. These experts are members of AIChE and its Technological Communities including the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS), the Society for Biological Engineering (SBE), the Institute for Sustainability (IfS), and the International Society for Water Solutions (ISWS).

Here’s a sample of AIChE Academy offerings:

  • The Dos and Don’ts of Technical Writing – Live webinar on June 30, 2018 will teach how to ensure consistency and thoroughness in a technical report, as well as what to emphasize and what not to write.

  • Treating Hydraulic Fracturing Flowback Waters - An archived presentation which reviews membrane separation processes that could be used to treat hydraulic fracturing flowback waters. The advantages and limitations of these processes are highlighted. Data from commercial treatment facilities is also presented.

  • Essentials of Environmental Life Cycle Assessment – An eLearning course. Improve the environmental profile of your company’s products and processes using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

  • Biomanufacturing for Chemical Engineers – This online course presents the fundamentals of biomanufacturing. It focuses on the unit operations utilized to manufacture biological drug products.  

  • Chemical Engineering for Non-Chemical Engineers – This face-to-face training course enables non-ChemEs to gain knowledge of the fundamentals of chemical engineering they need to understand, communicate and work with chemical engineers.

All the Academy’s content is accessible in one convenient, fully searchable site.  You can search by topic, availability of CEUs and PDHs, delivery method, skill level—even location.  Available materials include eLearning courses, seminar-style training sessions held in cities around the US, webinars, conference presentations, and more. All of the resources on AIChE Academy are available to both AIChE members and non-members.
