10C 2027 Programming Coordinator

Andrew Allman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, where he has served on the faculty since Fall 2020. Prior to joining Michigan, he obtained his Ph.D at the University of Minnesota in 2018 under the guidance of Prodromos Daoutidis and worked as a postdoctoral associate in the group of Qi Zhang, also at Minnesota. His process systems research team at the University of Michigan works in the areas of network theory, many-objective optimization, and sustainable chemical process operation and supply chain management. He is the recipient of the NSF CAREER award (2023) and CAST Director's Student Presentation Award (2018). Andrew has also chaired various sessions in 10C over the last several years, including "Supply Chain and Logistics" (2020), "Advances in Nonlinear and Surrogate Optimization" (2021-22), and "Data Driven and Surrogate Optimization in Operation" (2023).
