The CAST Division of AIChE annually recognizes individuals for achievements in several categories with CAST Division Awards. Each honoree will be recognized at the CAST Division Banquet at the 2018 AIChE Annual Meeting in Pittsburgh. The honorees for 2018 are:
- Computing in Chemical Engineering: Panagiotis Christofides, UCLA
- Computing Practice Award: John Hedengren, BYU
- W. David Smith, Jr. Graduate Publication Award: Matt Stuber, University of Connecticut
- CAST Outstanding Young Researcher Award: Fengqi You, Cornell University
- David Himmelblau Award for Innovations in Computer-Based Chemical Engineering Education: Martha Grover, Georgia Tech
