Dinner Presentation Information
The May STS-AIChE meeting will be held on May 3, 2018 at The Bougainvilleas Houston, 12126 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077. There will be a LIVE webcast of the meeting via our YouTube channel. More information can be found at http://sts.aiche.org/.
The dinner presentation topic is “Better Decisions Faster: Simple Things Can Reduce Incidents and Improve Operator Performance” and our dinner speaker will be Tom Williams, currently the Global Leader of Operator Effectiveness at Honeywell Process Solutions and Director of the Abnormal Situation Management Consortium (ASM). There are two workshops for the May meeting. Steven Obermann and Todd Harrison will do a workshop on “Evaluating Valve Condition: A Part of Any Safe and Efficient Operation”. The second workshop will be led by Charles Herzog on “Keep Distillation Systems on Spec at Max Rates.” The workshops will both take place at 5:30 PM and end at 6:30 PM. Social/ Networking Time will start at 6:00 PM. It will be followed by STS announcements and dinner at 7:00 PM, and the dinner presentation at about 8:15 PM.
