Abstract
Career success yields significant benefits for both an individual and the organization. From an individual standpoint, it offers reward and recognition. For the organization, it leads to better performance, since well rewarded and recognized employees demonstrate high engagement and produce higher level contributions.
Sustaining career success requires taking a methodical approach. This approach is made up of three key elements: Value Delivery, Traits Demonstration and Strategy Deployment. Delivering maximum value to the organization is of paramount importance. There is no substitute for it. Demonstrating critical personal traits in everyday actions, which are aligned with desired organizational culture, is imperative. It elevates value delivered. Developing and deploying a clear career growth strategy is essential and primarily employee’s responsibility. Though essential, this element is seldom emphasized. Each of these elements is necessary, but not sufficient by itself. Integration of these three elements is key to improving the probability of success in any position throughout one’s career.
The webinar will highlight how to best cultivate the key elements that support sustainable career success with some specific examples. It will also include best practices for experienced managers and those who are transitioning from technical role to managerial role.
