The Chicago Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers is delighted to announce that it will be hosting a tour of Honeywell UOP facilities located in McCook, IL followed by an in-person meeting and dinner on November 21, 2024. The event will feature talk from Dr. Ese Jeroro, who is the Sr Manager for the Exploratory Platforms group at Honeywell UOP.
Please be advised that the number of participants for the tour is limited to 50. There is no limit on dinner and lecture registration. To ensure your participation, we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

Overview of Honeywell UOP's R&D capabilities
Speaker Biography:
Ese Jeroro is the Sr Manager for the Exploratory Platforms group at Honeywell UOP. This group resides in the Research pillar of ESS/UOP R&D, with a mandate to launch new growth vectors, through the discovery of new technologies, markets, and applications.
Ese has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Pennsylvania State University, and a PhD in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. After grad school, she spent a year and a half working at the ConocoPhillips Research Center before joining UOP in 2012. Most of her time at UOP has been spent in R&D, helping develop technologies in the areas of Hydroprocessing, Petrochemicals, and Renewable fuels. She has 11 patents (4 granted), 13 journal articles, and 5 book chapters.

This presentation will give an overview of Honeywell UOP’s R&D capabilities and spotlight the activities of the Exploratory Platforms group within Research. The Exploratory group is a crucial component of Honeywell UOP’s innovation engine, tasked with identifying and evaluating novel ideas to discover the next generation of breakthrough technologies that address the pressing challenges of today and tomorrow.
