We are in the midst of a clean energy emergency. While we hear a lot about renewable energy sources rapidly growing, in fact the percentage of energy generated by clean sources is actually declining, and has been for 20 years. If we are to address climate change in any meaningful way, this trend must be reversed. Alan Medsker, Illinois Coordinator for the environmental organization Environmental Progress, will lead a deep dive into the history, politics, policies, economics, physics, chemistry and more, of this critical environmental issue. The presentation will show where are are today with clean energy, how we got here, and how we can reverse the decline and move forward. |
