Aside from Anheuser-Busch, Inc. being the largest brewer in the U.S., they have been working on sustainable processes for five decades that would convert most waste products into useful secondary by-products. Ranging from CO2 collection from fermentation for production of O’Doul’s; Clean-in-Place system post-rinse water collection and recovered for pre-rinse water use; spent grains digested to make methane for steam generation; spent hops liquor evaporated to produce molasses; and waste beer collected and distilled to generate ethanol, we will investigate these processes to better understand their sustainable implications. The Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) parameters are three central factors in measuring the sustainability and social impact of an investment in a business and in our standard of living (or quality of life). We will be analyzing some A-B processes with respect to ESG parameters during this presentation.
