The IBM Quantum System One installed at the Cleveland Clinic is the first quantum computer in the world to be uniquely dedicated to healthcare research with an aim to help Cleveland Clinic to accelerate biomedical discoveries. Using quantum mechanics, new computing machines can process information in new ways, promising early breakthroughs. Cleveland State University (CSU) is building its expertise in the exciting field of quantum computing in partnership with the Cleveland Clinic, Case Western Reserve University, and Kent State University. Together, they are developing educational and research programs to deliver innovative engineering solutions. In this talk, I will cover the basics of quantum computing and CSU's efforts in this emerging field.
