Over the past 6 years Stephanie Butler Velegol has worked with dozens on undergraduate students and a few graduate students at Penn State University to create a sustainable solution to the global clean water crisis using the seeds of the Moringa oleifer tree. Her work seeks to bridge the gap between science in the lab and application in places such as Rwanda, Nigeria, Morocco and Puerto Rico.
