East Texas AIChE is proud to welcome guest speaker Dr. Mark Holtzapple from Texas A&M University where he is a professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Dr. Holtzapple will be speaking about the global energy situation and the exciting accomplishments of his research, including the MixAlco process which can generate fuel from biomass sources such as municipal solid waste, sewage, and manure, and the StarRotor engine which is three times more efficient than the conventional internal combustion engine used in today's vehicles.
Come enjoy some great Bodacious BBQ and a great lecture on the leading edge of energy research! RSVP by contacting our Social Chair at etrejo@eastman.com. Cost will be the price of food unless we get at least 25 people, then we get a discount! So bring your friends for good time!
